PRAYER REQUESTS & UPDATES
"Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you
who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the
foundation of the world.
'For I was hungry, and you gave Me {something} to eat; I was
thirsty, and you gave Me {something} to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited
Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in
prison, and you came to Me.'
"Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You
hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You {something} to drink?
'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or
naked, and clothe You? 'When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come
to You?'
"The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to
the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, {even} the least
{of them,} you did it to Me.'
Matthew 25:34-40

SHERYL WALLACE FAMILY
Update 5-22
"My family and I would like to thank everyone who has been
praying for my recovery from the accident of April 21, 2008.
We would like to thank many of you who have brought us
meals, we have appreciated the delicious food, the cards of
encouragement and visits. THANK YOU.
God is good -and I am so glad that He isn't done with me
yet. I am doing good, working with physical therapists,
waiting for the pelvis to heal and regaining strength. I am
overwhelmed with the love in action towards my family and
me. Thank you all again. Homeschoolers are a generous,
unique and blessed family to be a part of."
Sheryl and Scott
Wallace
Update 5-1 10:00 pm
Sheryl has been released from Kootenai Medical Center.
She is home and resting. What a blessing that she was
able to be released so soon. Please pray for continued
healing.
Update 4-28 10:47 pm
Sheryl is in Room 258 at Kootenai Medical Center.
All life support and IVs have been removed. She is on oral
pain medication. Praise God!!
She is using a walker since she can put no weight on her
left leg for a minimum of 6 weeks.
No surgery will be need for her broken pelvis. Again Praise
the Lord!! It is healing on its own.
The most incredible miracle, and we are confident this is
due to the prayers of all of you saints, if all goes well
Sheryl could be released as early as this Thursday, May 1st.
Considering her original diagnosis was 6 weeks in the
hospital, we praise God for the healing that He continues to
perform daily. It will still be many months before Sheryl
will be close to her normal functioning state. So your
continued prayer and support is so very much appreciated!
Scott has been functioning on lack of sleep and caffeine
throughout this crisis. However he wants to extend his most
sincere and deepest gratitude for all that everyone has
done.
Update 11:00
p.m. 4-25-2008 Sheryl was moved from ICU to a regular hospital room
on 4-24. Doctors are discussing whether further
surgery is needed for her broken pelvis. Please
continue to pray.
Update 10:30
p.m. 4-23-2008 Sheryl is still in ICU but out of her coma.
She was taken off the ventilator yesterday. The
doctors have had her out of bed sitting in a chair.
She has asked her family to bring her reading material.
God is good!
Your Prayers are working! Please continue to pray for
healing, strength, and comfort.
Daniella Cross continues to organize the many who have
offered to provide meals. She has started another list
of those who wish to provide domestic support. Bless
all you who are putting your faith into action!!!
Update 10:30
a.m. 4-22-2008
Sheryl is critical but stable condition. She is in a coma.
The doctors plan to wake from the coma today and to remove
her ventilator.
It is now known that Sheryl's daughter Becky was also in the
car. Becky was not hurt physically.
Prayer is also needed for the woman who hit her.
She is a 73 year old woman that was driving her mother.
She also had a torn aorta and later passed on to be with our
Lord at Sacred Heart in Spokane. Her 90 + year old mother
is in critical condition, hospital yet unknown.
For the most current update on Sheryl's condition please
visit the NIHEA website.
We have added a Prayer Requests Page specifically for her
and other wounded homeschool soldiers in our midst.

If you would like to send an email message to Sheryl or her
family, Kootenai Medical Center has a niffty feature where

April 21st - 9:00 pm
Word has just come in that
Sheryl Wallace, a homeschool mom and NIHEA Member
was involved in a head on collision on Hi-Way 95 just north
of 53. She is currently in surgery. She has a tear in her
aorta, a broken pelvis, and dislocated hip. She went into
surgery at 8:45 pm on Monday, April 21st. Surgery is
expected to last at least 4 hours.
Sheryl prides herself in taking good care of her family
while Scott works long hours to provide. As you can imagine
this will be a serious hardship on the family. If you could
perhaps provide meals and / or other support it would be
greatly appreciated.
Daniella Cross is organizing meals for the family. She can
be contacted at 660-2245 or by email at
atwitznd@gmail.comm.
Please pray for all! |
