SCIENCE ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Spokane is Looking For New Recruits
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For our weather spotter program in eastern Washington and North Idaho.
Weather spotters are volunteers who are vital in helping the NWS carry out its mission of saving lives and property.
The role of a spotter is to provide ground truth and to notify the NWS office when severe or hazardous weather is occurring. Likewise, you may also receive calls from our office to verify weather conditions.
No special weather equipment is necessary. Weather spotters are simply the "eyes and the ears" of the National Weather Service.
If you are interested, you may contact us by sending a post card, calling or emailing the office at nws.spokane@noaa.gov.

Learn more about it at : http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/otx/spotter/recruit.php
